Fingers: A Piano

Exercise Book

The client had an idea for a book for those learning how to play the piano. The target audience was primarily for children ages 4-7, but also for parents and teachers. It would have to be a hard copy and an e-book and have the same aspects as one another, such as typefaces, illustrations, and coloring pages. Some copy was provided, and decoding of the sketches was also done to make everything easily legible and readable to the audience.

wordmark & tagline

Another graphic designer and I compiled a typography and color palette. The font families could not have the forms of letters that are usually more difficult to read or are not as recognizable. Those letters are mostly "a" and "g" because double-story fonts are what printers usually use. This typeface is also bubbly to keep children invested. Illustrations are bright and correspond to each exercise title to make it more engaging for those practicing. The colors used throughout the book are rainbow because they have the most contrast.
